​An Intermediate + Workshop Weekend​

 

Philly Balboa is hosting a workshop weekend! We’re excited to bring you 6 hours of social dancing, and 6 hours of intermediate-plus classes with David Rehm and Kate Hedin. Accompanied by all the usual Philly Bal vibes.

Tentative Schedule:

Friday, October 16th: Social Dance 8pm - 11pm

Saturday, October 17th: Afternoon: Lessons with David and Kate, 11am 1pm / 3pm to 5 pm

Evening social dance: 8pm - 11pm

Sunday, October 18th: Lessons with David and Kate, 11am - 1pm

Private lesson slots available

 

Pricing:

Full Weekend Pass:

• Early Registration (available until September 15th): $120

• Standard Registration: $140

• At-the-door: $150

Evening Dances: $20 each

 

Workshop Level

This will be an intermediate-plus workshop! Students should be comfortable social dancing consistently around 185-190 bpm (to songs like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNCZLushTSc). Dancers should be proficient in executing basic PureBal and BalSwing figures (including lollies, out-and-ins, and tossouts), and are now exploring variations. They are also seeking to improve their technique, refine their dancing at higher tempos, and begin experimenting with more advanced concepts on the dancefloor.
